Beschreibung

Proterosoma und Hysterosoma meistens ohne scharf begrenzte, stark gepanzerte Platten. Körper ist meist gewölbt. Klauen, besonders die des erstes Beinpaares sind in ihrer Länge sehr verschieden. Relativ kleine Caeculidae. Fehler! Referenz name='Franz_RevisionCaeculidae' kann nicht zugeordnet werden

Es wurde 5 Arten der Gattung in Europa nachgewiesen. Das Status von M. liguricus gilt als unsicher. (Stoch 2003) (Franz 1952) (Wojciech 2010)
