Merkmale
Die Weibchen von Mitopus glacialis werden 9 bis 10 mm groß, die Männchen 5,5 bis 6,0 mm. Charakteristisch für Mitopus glacialis ist die bläulichkalkgraue (w) bzw. grauschwarze (m) Sattelzeichnung.
Adulte Tiere findet man vom Sommer bis zum Wintereinbruch. Fehler! Referenz name='sauer' kann nicht zugeordnet werden
Lebensraum
Meist auf Felsen und Blockschutt in Südlage. (Sauer & Wunderlich 1997) Mitopus glacialis kommt ausschließlich in den Alpen über der Baumgrenze vor. (Martens 1978)
