Beschreibung

Histricostoma-Exemplare sind tief schwarz gefärbte, kleine Weberknechte. (Martens 1978)

Arten und Verbreitung

Hauptverbreitungsgebiete der Gattung sind die Alpen und Nordspanien (Pyrenäen), und die Balkanhalbinsel. Es ist lediglich 1 Art aus Mitteleuropa und auch Deutschland gemeldet. 3 weitere Arten leben in Südeuropa: (Martens 1978) (Stoch 2003)
