Merkmale
Körperlänge: Beide Geschlechter erreichen 2,2 bis 3,0 mm. Extremwerte: 1,7 mm und 3,5 mm. (Beier 1963)
Lebensraum
Art ausgesprochen euryök. Von der Ebene bis auf 3000 m üNN. An trockenen wie an sehr feuchten Örtlichkeiten. Vorwiegend jedoch in der Bodenstreu der Wälder. Besonders in Buchenwäldern, jedoch auch in Nadel- und Mischwald, unter Gebüsch, in Grashorsten sowie in Moos und Sphagnum. Ebenfalls unter Steinen. (Beier 1963)
