Die Hexathelidae sind eine Familie von orthognathen Spinnen. Weltweit sind 86 Arten in 11 Gattungen beschrieben. (Platnick 2010)
Aussehen und Körperbau
Die Hexathelidae besitzen nur 4 Spinnwarzen, da das vordere Spinnwarzenpaar zurückgebildet ist. Die hinteren äußeren Spinnwarzen sind verlängert.
