Systematik
Oribotritiidae ist eine Familie der Hornmilben in Subordnung Mixonomata, Cohort Euptyctima, Überfamilie Euphthiracaroidea.
Beschreibung
Oribotritiidae ist eine Familie primitiver, meist mittelgrosser ptychoide Hornmilben. Ventrale Platten sind inkomplett zusammengewachsen. Anale und adanale Platten sind immer, genitale und aggeenitale Platten sind entweder ganz oder teilweise getrennt. Ein Dreieck, das die anale und genitale Platten trennt, ist nie vorhanden, aber eine aggenitale Inzision ist häufig gut entwickelt. 5-11 Paaren von genitalen, 2-4 Paaren von aggenitalen, 0-3 Paaren von analen und 2-4 Paaren von adanalen Setae sind in verschiedenen Kombinationen Vorhanden. Palp hat 3 bis 5 Glieder. (Balogh & Mahunka 1983)
