Beschreibung
Das Weibchen wird 5,8 bis 6,0 mm groß, das Männchen 3,1 bis 5,2 mm (nach Martens 1978). Bei Opilio saxatilis befindet sich (nach Stol, 1999) ein einzelner markanter Tuberkel seitlich (lateral) vor dem Auge.
Lebensraum
Opilio saxatilis ist ursprünglich eine mediterrane Art, die durch Verschleppung in ganz Mitteleuropa gefunden werden kann. Die Art ist recht selten. Die Art Opilio saxatilis liebt trockene, unbeschattete Habitate: von Trockenrasen bis zu Dünen. (Martens 1978)
Dieses Weberknecht ist recht oft auf Gebäuden in Ungarn gefunden.
Verbreitung
Europa, adulte Exemplare finden sich von Sommer bis Herbst (Martens 1978).
