Merkmale
Das Weibchen wird 5,8 bis 6,0 mm groß, das Männchen 3,1 bis 5,2 mm (nach Martens 1978). Bei Opilio saxatilis befindet sich (nach Stol, 1999) ein einzelner markanter Tuberkel seitlich (lateral) vor dem Auge.
Reifezeit
Adulte Tiere findet man von Juli bis Dezember. (Wijnhoven 2009)
Lebensraum
Opilio saxatilis ist ursprünglich eine mediterrane Art, die durch Verschleppung in ganz Mitteleuropa heimisch geworden ist. Die Tiere lieben trockene, unbeschattete Habitate: von Trockenrasen bis zu Dünen. (Martens 1978)
Dieser Weberknecht wird in Ungarn häufig an Gebäuden gefunden.
