Merkmale
Körperlänge: Weibchen werden 1,6 bis 1,9 mm, Männchen 1,5 bis 1,7 mmm groß.
Kleine, vollkommen schwarze Tiere ohne sog. "Silberflecken". Charakteristisch für adulte Männchen der Art ist eine kräftige, dornenförmige, mediane Apophyse am distalen Ende des Pedipalpen-Femurs (daher der Artname). Die Apophyse fehlt bei den Weibchen. (vgl. Lebensraum
Die Art lebt in der Humusschicht erdfeuchter Böden. Oft in lichten Wäldern, aber auch in Parkanlagen. (Martens 1978)
Verbreitung
Nemastoma dentigerum ist ursprünglich eine mediterrane Art. Sie kommt aber auch in Deutschland vor. (Blick & Komposch 2004)
