Systematik
Die Familie Chernetidae gehört zur Unterordnung Iocheirata, Infraordnung Panctenata, Überfamilie Cheliferoidea und hat 3 Unterfamilien (Chernetinae, Goniochernetinae und Lamprochernetinae) 110 Gattungen und etwa 650 Arten weltweit (Stand 2010) (Harvey 2011).
