Merkmale
Körperlänge: Weibchen erreichen 1,9 - 2,6 mm, Männchen 1,8 - 2,0 mm (Martens 2018).
Etymologie
Der Artname ehrt Beate und Klaus Pfau, die dem Autor Exemplare zur Verfügung stellten. Pfau ist auf Lateinisch „pavo“, „pavonum“ ist der Plural des Genitivs, der sich auf beide Sammler bezieht. (Martens 2018)
Verbreitung
Korsika (Frankreich) (Martens 2018) und Südfrankreich (Ponel & Oger 2019).
Lebensraum
Kalliste pavonum kommt in gebirgigen Wäldern mit viel Buchenbestand in Höhen zwischen 1000 - 1200 m vor. Die Exemplare wurden auf dem Boden unter Steinen und totem Holz gefunden. (Martens 2018)
